Circini Data Assure (CDA): An Immutable Approach to File Storage

Secure, immutable storage for documents you need to preserve and retrieve.

When organisations need to manage sensitive files or archive data, Circini Data Assure (CDA) provides a simple vehicle to preserve and access data. Whether this is residual data (from an Archive) or as a method to provide access and governance to documents, CDA will provide a secure "single source of truth repository." .

Why CDA?

Traditionally, organisations have had to keep legacy applications running in read-only mode, invest in expensive archiving platforms, or build their own internal solutions. Each option can introduce additional cost and complexity.

CDA was originally developed in response to this challenge, however over time our customers have asked, can CDA be used to enable the secure management and sharing of documents? The answer is yes!

How CDA works

How CDA works

✓ Documents that stay as they were filed. Stored documents cannot be edited, so you always have the original.
✓ Fast search. Simple management UI. Find documents by reference, name, type or date, then open or download them.
✓ Access you control. Sign-in, MFA or anonymous users. You decide the controls you need in place.
✓ Encryption at rest. Documents are encrypted while stored and decrypted only when retrieved.
✓ Disaster recovery. A secondary repository can take over if the main one is unavailable.
✓ Open integration. A REST API lets online forms, case management systems and other applications store and fetch documents.
✓ New Zealand hosting. Documents can stay onshore on New Zealand-owned cloud infrastructure.

Flexible, open architecture

CDA has been developed predominantly using open-source technologies and uses a layered architecture covering the presentation interface, API, business logic and data sources. It can also support third-party applications connecting through its API.

Data Assure has a layered design. A web interface and a REST API sit on top of the core services for users, configuration, documents and search. Document records, audit logs and the documents themselves are stored separately. It is built on open source technologies, including the Symfony PHP framework, and works with SQL Server, MySQL or Oracle databases.

Hosting that fits your organisation

CDA can be deployed in several ways depending on an organisation’s requirements, including cloud hosting, on premises, or hosting through Circini.
